As part of our European Solidarity Residencies project, two young professionals visited us for a one-month residency at rhe end of last year to learn about the local cultural scene and Pro Progressione’s place and role in it – Márton Csuzi, our external expert and mentor guided them during the whole residency journey. We asked Márton, to summarize his experiences in this interview:

We have worked with Daniel Valtueña on several projects before – this time we invited him to the European Solidarity Residency as an external expert to enrich the participants’ work with his experience and insights. Daniel accompanied the work through three online sessions, about which we asked him in the following interview:
Afternoon of Dialogues – Artist Talks, Seminar, Pop-up exhibition, Concert at Dobozi 21
On Sunday afternoon, February 8, different genres and ways of thinking drift into the same room and start to overlap. Four short artist presentations arrive from four corners of the world: Cyprus, Portugal, the Netherlands, and Chile. From there, the afternoon moves into a seminar led by Zoltán Ginelli, with a focus on critical geography and global history. The day then slips into an informal exhibition opening, and ends with a concert by El Kanász quartet.

THE SCHOOL OF ENOUGH – selected artists
We are happy to announce the four selected applications for the School of Enough programme of our TBG partner, Rosendal Theater, which will run from November 2024 until October 2026.
A total of 28 project applications have been received, from 14 different countries. We were impressed by the quality and the relevance of the projects we received and wished we’d have had the means to invite at least twice as many to take part in the programme! We hope to be able to involve the applicants who have not been selected to some of the activities and will be working towards building up our capacities and scope in order to enable this.
MUSE.ar from the artists’ point of view – Where are they now?
One of the aims of MUSE.ar project is to bring artists – and thus arts – closer to museums. That is the reason why we work with 3 artist groups on new narratives for museums and visitors, using a digital collection.
Art Residency – Sofia
During the Sofia Art Residency of the ECHO II project (May 2021), the artists-in-residence worked in special rented ateliers in one of the districts of Sofia. Marcella Papp, a visual artist based in Budapest represented Hungary during the residency.
