V4-SAP – Social Art Practices

The V4-SAP project is focusing on Social Art Practices in the V4 region. This project has some interrelated components with our ongoing Academy for Actors of Civil Change project, but it is independent from it. Our goal with the V4-SAP project is to implement in the V4 region knowledge and best practices harvested from our already running Academy.

The main objective of the project is to create a V4-SAP network and provide opportunities for their members. To reach this goal, we divided the project into three interconnected parts:

V4-SAP CONNECT

We aim to strengthen the connection among regional stakeholders of Social Art Practitioners. Our goal is to create a strong SAP network in the V4 region and connect like-minded people. The project aims to reinforce the intention to jointly solve the challenges concerning the education of underprivileged youth in the V4 region. The members of the network will be encouraged to share knowledge, exchange experiences and set up new regional initiatives and organise events.

V4-SAP EXCHANGE

The newly created V4-SAP network will have several on-site meetings points. In the framework of the project, we will organise a 2-day conference in Hungary connecting numerous regional SAP stakeholders. Moreover, we will hold SAP workshops in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. This chain of events will strengthen the regional dialogue and will contribute to the harmonisation of V4 standpoints.

V4-SAP SHARE

Thanks to the project, an online knowledge base will be created, that will gather useful resources for the V4-SAP network. The benefit for the V4 countries is to accelerate innovation and improvement in the region thanks to an internationally developed knowledge centre (based on other projects of Pro Progressione such as Academy and ACADEMY+), which is building on diverse international experiences, but focusing on regional relevance.

The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustain able regional cooperation in Central Europe.

Toolkit Cover

Toolkits:
The present toolkit is part of an online knowledge base which gathers useful resources for the V4-SAP network. Pro Progressione runs an international Academy for several years already, bringing together the most important stakeholders of social art practices in Europe. It provides training opportunity to young professionals from social, educational and artistic fields working with underprivileged youth to gain new tools. The V4 Academy for Social Art Practices tapped into a wealth of knowledge amassed over the previous Academies to develop methodologies specifically for the V4 region. The toolkit provides us with an opportunity to accelerate our impact by sharing the best practices of the V4 Academy with a wide audience of socially engaged art practitioners from the V4 region.
