V4 SAP – Open Days & Workshops

Fostering Social Art Practices in the Visegrad Countries

The Fostering Social Art Practices in the Visegrad Countries project aims to strengthen the connection among regional stakeholders of Social Art Practitioners. Our goal is to create a strong SAP network in the V4 region and connect organizations and experts who use art as vehicle for social change. The lockdown measures in response to COVID-19 further underlined the need for stronger cooperation between professionals working on the social, educational and artistic fields to help level the field for disadvantaged students who lack adequate internet access and technology resources and often have lower digital literacy. The initiative aims to reinforce the intention to jointly solve the challenges concerning the education of underprivileged youth suffering from the digital divide in the V4 region. The project allows members of the network to share knowledge, exchange experiences and set up new regional initiatives.

The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.

Toolkit Cover

Toolkits:

The present toolkit is part of an online knowledge base which gathers useful resources for the V4-SAP network. Pro Progressione runs an international Academy for several years already, bringing together the most important stakeholders of social art practices in Europe. It provides training opportunity to young professionals from social, educational and artistic fields working with underprivileged youth to gain new tools. The V4 Academy for Social Art Practices tapped into a wealth of knowledge amassed over the previous Academies to develop methodologies specifically for the V4 region. The toolkit provides us with an opportunity to accelerate our impact by sharing the best practices of the V4 Academy with a wide audience of socially engaged art practitioners from the V4 region.
