🗓 PROGRAM / SCHEDULE

📌 Tuesday – June 15
Workshop with Márk Somogyi
📖 During the workshop, we will work our ways through three stages and three book types — from “zine” to “instant book”, touching on origami structures as well — and arrive at a long-stitch, adhesive-free binding. Along the way, we will highlight the formal background of artbooks, silent books, and other creations that interpret the book as an artistic medium.

📌 Wednesday – June 16
Workshop with Maria Kazimierczak
🌿 The workshop will focus on natural, plant based dyeing processes. The participants will receive pieces of fabric to try out various dyeing techniques, like painting, block printing, and dip dyeing.

📌 Thursday – June 17
Workshop with Jasmina Glavinche
📝 Handmade Paper: In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore the poetic process of papermaking using recycled paper pulp, local plant fibres and lake algae, and natural inclusions such as seeds and petals.
Through guided steps, each person will create their own unique sheet of handmade paper using simple tools and mindful gestures.
The session invites reflection on material transformation, sustainability, and the quiet beauty of imperfection.
No prior experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to touch, tear, press, and shape.
Each participant will leave with a piece of paper that carries both memory and possibility.

📌 Friday – June 18
Workshop with Sandra Stigert
🪵 By the lakeside, stories have travelled for centuries – drifting on water, whispered from one person to the next. In this workshop, participants are invited to take part in a quiet circle of reflection and craftsmanship. Each guest will receive a small piece of wood and a carving knife, and be guided through the meditative process of whittling – slowly shaping the wood while letting conversation flow.
This is not about creating a finished object. It’s about remembering what it means to work with our hands, to be present, and to listen – to each other, and to the materials shaped by nature. Inspired by the water’s rhythm and its ancient role in carrying knowledge and craft, this gathering honours both memory and the possibility of forgetting.
No previous experience is needed. Tools and materials are provided. Open to all curious souls.
Please note that the number of participants is limited due to available tools (max 10 people).

✅ Participation is free, but registration is required at hello@medicinavolgy.hu!
