This ten day event is designed for young adults in the region to acquire vital skills for the 21st century job market, to learn about the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, to reflect on their career paths and goals, and to be able to implement hands-on practices to initiate local change.
The team of Careers in the Common Good believe in nonformal education and interactive workshops. Their facilitators come from a diverse professional and cultural background, and have a passion for their subject. Next to the workshops, they reflect, hike, meditate, get to know each other’s cultures – as they see community building as crucial among youth in the region.
2021 Youth Week will take place in a quiet location near Budapest, 30 July–8 August.* In addition to a full complement of interactive workshops and panels on human rights, sustainability, social entrepreneurship and the 21st-century job market, participants will practise hands-on learning to develop their own Social Projects. With the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals as a framework, participants identify and work to address a need in their communities.
