Woodvalley 1

Wood Valley

The Wood Valley project addresses the untapped potential of the wood craft and architectural heritage of the Danube areas. It seeks to draw attention to these sometimes forgotten places and historical monuments with an interdisciplinary (cooperation in between tourism experts, local wood construction craftsmen and artisans and cultural-artistic experts) approach.

12 organizations from 7 Danube countries are working together to implement the project, during which workshops, cultural events with different themes and purposes, and finally a closing event, the Danube Wood Festival will be held. One of the main goals of the project is to develop a wide range of innovative and sustainable tourism products / services and to create new employment opportunities in the traditional and innovative sectors.
