Carlos Noronha Feio
Carlos consumes, juxtaposes and performs media as research into cultural, local and global identity, adopting culturally significant images, locations and symbols as a form of creative interference with meaning, demonstrating the almost arbitrary nature in which cultural significance is interpreted. Carlos is a concept based artist. The work medium changes according to the needs related to the projects in question. Carlos is strongly inclined to research CDCD perception and memory, identity and belonging, and how predicates influence our sense of self, individually and as communities.

Rocío Paz Guerrero Marín
Rocío Guerrero’s practice emphasises sharing, listening and presence through objects, installations and social practice. She explores the interplay between bodies, environments and language, examining how relationships shape our understanding of the world. Recently, she has focused on collective artistic processes with diverse communities, creating safe spaces for mutual learning. During the CDCD program, Rocío aims to delve into environmental issues by engaging with the MUNHAC’s natural history collections and education department. She seeks to harness these resources to develop narratives that amplify marginalised voices and foster a deeper understanding of environmental colonialism.

Join Rocio’s 🌿Decolonial Botanical Songbook🌿 workshop on 5 February!
Together, we will explore the histories of threatened plant species and reflect on environmental colonialism through collective artistic practice. Through creative writing and bodily sound exploration, participants will experiment with words, voice, and presence. Using the body as a resonating instrument, we will co-create an abstract soundscape inspired by plant stories and shared listening.
