Shared Futures – Building Collaborative Visions for a Sustainable Cultural Sector

The project responds by building a participatory European framework for future visioning in which cultural professionals, audiences, environmental actors, and funders or presenters can shape shared scenarios together.

The project is organised as a methodological journey. Social Dreaming opens imaginative space and helps participants articulate hopes, fears, and desirable futures. Convocation then translates those emerging visions into structured dialogue and practical alignment across stakeholder groups. These processes lead to three stakeholder manifestos and, from them, a single Shared Future Vision Manifesto. Finally, the AI-based Scenario Builder turns the project’s collective vision into an accessible, interactive public tool that can continue to support engagement, reflection, and adaptation after the project period.

Although the consortium is compact – AfRD in Hungary, Liv.in.g in Italy, and Sciaena in Portugal – the project is designed for pan-European relevance. Associated partners and sectoral networks extend its reach into broader cultural, environmental, media, funding, and policy ecosystems. Communication must therefore connect intimate co-creation processes with outward-facing European visibility and long-term usability.
