OASis (Open Art Spaces in Synergy) is a three-year (2024–2027) European project aimed at making art more accessible by establishing a network of open and interdisciplinary creative spaces across 10 countries. Co-funded by the Creative Europe programme, the project is implemented by a unique consortium comprising 14 diverse institutions, including NGOs, cultural organizations, municipalities, and a university.

The goal of OASis is to create a positive impact both on artists seeking to turn their talent into a profession and on local communities that often feel disconnected from the art sector. The project seeks to achieve this by establishing open art spaces and organizing programs that break down barriers to access and encourage artistic participation.
The project consists of two main modules:
- Open Art Spaces (OASis) in Action – The creation of interdisciplinary artistic hubs in 10 countries, reflecting a modern open art center model. These spaces blend local context with international artistic exchange and are based on participatory planning and management. Some of the locations are existing art spaces, while others are newly adapted sites that had not previously been used for artistic purposes.
- OASis Program Initiatives – Artistic residency programs resulting in numerous artistic creations. These projects are built on the concept of co-creation, bringing together international and local professional artists to collaborate with local communities and groups at risk of cultural exclusion.
Project duration: November 2024 – November 2027
The OASis (Open Art Spaces in Synergy) project is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
